Google Adsense Continues To Attack Publishers Over Abu Ghraib Torture Photos

thomas_dishaw_uu5lpa(Thomas Dishaw)  Google Adsense, the #1 revenue generator on most alternative news sites, continues to attack publishers over Abu Ghraib torture photos.

According to Google, websites that publish these photos are violating their Terms and Conditions by displaying “violent or disturbing content”. In a recent battle antiwar.com met Google head on and refused to take down pictures.  With a little support from their loyal readers and national media coverage they were able to stop the strong-arm of Google from destroying their operating income, and still have the pictures published today and most importantly still maintaining their journalistic credibility.

Most sites aren’t as lucky as antiwar.com. As Luke Rudowski points out in his recent news report many sites such as theantimedia.com, thefreethoughtsproject.com  and mintpressnews.com are on their second strike on the three strike system, putting them at extinction level once Google pulls the plug.

These moves are nothing new.  As google lays down the groundwork to be the “ministry of truth”, destroying alternative news sites will be a top priority in the coming years. With recent plans to rank sites based on truth, google is truly setting the stage to control the flow of information to the general public. Big corporations such as NBC, CBS, ABC or establishment media will not be effected by these new truth algorithms.  Their stories and websites will be forced down your throat until you accept their lies, making the brainwashing 100% complete.

I will never let Google dictate my editorial procedures at www.ThomasDishaw.com  and I will continue to publish information they think should be censored. We must continue to support sites like antiwar.com as they are truly a leader in the Independent Media movement.

In the meantime we must continue to move as far away from Google as possible by using some great alternatives out there such as Startpage.com, Duckduckgo.com, Protonmail.com & TOR.
